An online assessment platform lets you send candidates short skills tests by link, run them in the browser under consistent conditions and compare the results in one place. HireValid covers the whole flow for hiring: twenty-four tests, role bundles, timed questions from randomised pools, ranked results and an Integrity Score on every result.
Many teams start testing candidates with a general form or quiz tool. It feels quick, but it soon shows its limits. Anyone can share the questions, there is no reliable time limit, results arrive as a spreadsheet to sort by hand, and nothing tells you whether an answer came from the candidate or from an AI tool.
Hiring needs more than a quiz. It needs job-relevant questions, the same conditions for every candidate, evidence you can review when something looks unusual, and results you can compare fairly across a group.
An online hiring assessment platform handles that for you, so the time you spend goes on reviewing strong candidates rather than building and policing a test.
One link per assessment; candidates need no account and see the rules first.
ExploreTwenty-four tests of 5 to 15 minutes across reasoning, judgement, language and skills.
ExploreScores side by side, with percentiles named by reference group where norm data exists.
ExploreBrowser-event signals summarised for human review, never an automatic rejection.
ExploreChoose a role bundle or pick tests from the library and adjust them to the job.
Candidates open the link, check their setup, try practice questions and start when ready.
Results arrive as candidates finish, ranked with the Integrity Score beside each score.

Before the test. You choose tests from the library or start from one of eleven role bundles, then set a deadline. The invitation tells candidates the total time, which tools are allowed and how to request accommodations.
During the test. Candidates open the link in a browser with no account to create. A welcome screen and system check come first, then practice questions, then the scored questions under a visible timer. Questions come from randomised pools, and integrity settings record browser events such as leaving the tab or pasting text.
After the test. Results appear as each candidate finishes: a score per test, an overall result for the assessment and an Integrity Score. On paid plans you can open the evidence behind each Integrity Score, download PDF reports and share result links with colleagues who help decide.
Many reasoning, language and judgement tests work on a phone, which helps candidates apply wherever they are. Typing, spreadsheet and code-reading tasks are designed for a desktop or laptop, because a small screen would measure the device rather than the skill. The invitation should say which device suits the assessment.
Accessibility matters for fairness as much as convenience. Candidates can request accommodations such as extra time, and assistive technology is not treated as cheating. The candidate guide explains what to expect from their side.
A score is only useful if you know what it means. Every test page in the library explains what the test measures, how long it takes and which roles it suits, and every percentile names the reference group it compares against. That makes skills assessment software usable by owners and managers, not only by specialists.
When you need the rest of the process, there are job description and structured interview templates for every role. The skills assessment tests for hiring overview shows the whole library in one place.
Whether you hire for your own team or for clients, the same questions decide whether a skills assessment platform fits. Does the library cover the roles you fill? Can candidates take an online skills assessment without creating an account or installing anything? Do results come with evidence you can explain to a hiring manager or client?
Agencies and recruiters also need results they can share. PDF reports and shareable result links make it easy to present a shortlist with the evidence behind it, and the agencies and recruiters use case shows how teams use them with clients.
Finally, match the terms to your volume. An assessment platform for recruitment that bills monthly, with candidate packs for busy weeks and a pause option for quiet ones, keeps cost in line with the work you actually win.

Timed tests, ranked results and an Integrity Score on every result.
No. HireValid plans are monthly and you can cancel any time. The Free plan includes five candidates a month, Starter costs $49 a month and Growth $129 a month, in US dollars, and you can pause for $9 a month between hiring rounds. Annual billing is optional.
HireValid tests are timed, items come from randomised pools and scenarios turn on details generic AI advice misses. Browser events such as leaving the tab or pasting text feed an Integrity Score for a person to review. No test can guarantee AI was not used, so unusual results should lead to a conversation, not a rejection.
A modern browser and a reliable connection. They open the invitation link, with no account to create, and go through a welcome screen, system check and practice questions before the scored questions. Typing, spreadsheet and code tasks need a desktop or laptop; many other tests also work on a phone.
They can be fairer than CV screening when the tests match the job and everyone gets the same conditions. Offer accommodations, explain timing and tools in advance, and review selection rates across groups after each round. Growth includes fairness reports based on optional, consent-based information kept separate from scores.
A few minutes for the first assessment. Create a free account, choose a role bundle or pick tests, adjust them to the job and copy the link. There is nothing to install, and candidates can start as soon as they receive the invitation.
Invitations use signed, single-use, expiring links, data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to people in your organisation, with audit logs in place. You control how long results are kept. The security page explains the controls in more detail.
Yes. Starter includes one team seat with PDF reports, and Growth includes five team seats, candidate comparison and CSV export. Shareable result links let colleagues who help decide see the same evidence, and access stays limited to people involved in the hiring decision.
An applicant tracking system manages applications, stages and communication. An assessment platform tests the skills behind those applications. HireValid is the assessment step: you send a test link from wherever you manage applicants and use the ranked results to decide whom to interview.
