The candidate: Reads a short situation, table or statement and picks the right answer, or every right answer.
You see: Whether the candidate knows the material well enough to apply it, not just recognize it.
15 questions in 10 minutes, served one at a time.
Roles this test fits
Marketing analysts, digital marketing analysts, performance and growth marketers, marketing strategists, and marketing specialists who report on or optimize campaigns.
Evidence beyond a resume
See campaign reasoning
Short scenarios show how candidates work through performance numbers, rather than relying only on a resume's list of responsibilities.
Check tracking judgment
Tracking setups reveal whether candidates notice gaps or errors in how marketing data is gathered.
Review chart interpretation
Chart questions let you see how candidates read and present results before discussing their approach in an interview.
Focus the hiring process
Use the 10-minute assessment to identify topics for a work sample and structured interview.
What you get for each candidate
- Stayed on the test tab throughout
- No pasted answers
- Answered at a steady pace
Scores, profiles and integrity signals are evidence for you to review alongside an interview, never an automatic decision.
Test integrity signals for review
Each candidate receives a different question set from large pools. Questions and answer options are shuffled, and the browser shows one question at a time. Answer keys stay on HireValid’s servers. Timing runs on the server, so reloading restores the same question with only the remaining time. Question text cannot be copied or selected, and blocked copy attempts are recorded in the timeline. Invitation links are personal and expire, and a finished test cannot be taken again. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read. The Integrity Score and evidence timeline are for the employer to review; they do not decide on their own. With candidate consent, random webcam photos can be added.

Use the score as one piece of evidence
Review the score alongside a job-relevant work sample and a structured interview. For example, ask the candidate to review a campaign table or chart and explain the reasoning behind a proposed next step. Consider the specific role and the evidence from the full hiring process; do not use this score alone to make a decision. If the job also calls for platform-specific assessment, see Google Analytics 4, Meta Ads, and Google Ads.
Vragen voor gestructureerde sollicitatiegesprekken
A campaign table shows a change in results after a tracking setup was updated. How would you check whether the data supports that conclusion?
Listen for a step-by-step review of the setup, possible gaps or errors, the relevant metrics, and what additional evidence the candidate would seek.
You need to present a chart showing mixed results across campaign channels. How would you explain the results to a colleague, and what would you show?
Listen for clear interpretation of the chart, attention to how results are communicated, and a rationale tied to the information shown.
A set of campaign results points to more than one possible next step. How would you decide what to recommend?
Listen for reasoning grounded in the available results, recognition of uncertainty, and a clear explanation of the proposed action.
Understand scoring and benchmarks
Fairness and accommodations
Scenarios use invented brands and generic channel names, so no question depends on knowing a particular tool. Spend appears as plain numbers with no currency symbol, and products and audiences avoid holidays, sports and local customs. Names come from many backgrounds. Chart series are told apart by labels and line styles, never by color alone. A calculator and scratch paper are allowed for every candidate, and the numbers are kept simple.
You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.
Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
