What this test can add to your review
Look beyond resume claims
See how candidates reason through deck consistency, slide layout, and everyday Google Slides tasks, rather than relying only on a list of software skills.
Focus on practical scenarios
Questions describe a slide or task in words, sometimes with a small table of slides or object positions, and ask which action or approach gets the result.
Review a focused set of skills
The 15 questions cover themes and layouts, slide content and objects, plus sharing, reviewing, and presenting with others.
What you get for each candidate

Scores, profiles and integrity signals are evidence for you to review alongside an interview, never an automatic decision.
Test process and integrity signals
Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large pools. Question order changes by attempt, and answer options are shuffled. The browser shows one question at a time; answer keys stay on HireValid’s servers. Timing runs on the server, so reloading restores the same question with only the remaining time. Candidates cannot copy or select question text, and a blocked copy attempt is recorded. Personal invitation links expire, and a finished test cannot be taken again. HireValid summarizes signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read in an Integrity Score and evidence timeline for the employer to review. It does not decide on its own. With candidate consent, employers can add webcam photos at random moments. Read how we build our tests for more about test design.
Hoe we fraude met AI tegengaan · Integrity signals
Use the score as one review signal
Treat the score as evidence for a person to review, not a hiring decision. Pair it with a short work sample, such as asking the candidate to improve a deck’s consistency or arrange slide objects for a clear presentation. Follow up with a structured interview about their choices. For a broader view of office software, consider Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Microsoft Word.
Vragen voor gestructureerde sollicitatiegesprekken
You inherit a deck with inconsistent themes and layouts. How would you make it consistent while preserving the content people need?
Listen for a clear plan that considers themes and layouts across the deck, and for how the candidate would check the result.
A slide has several objects, and the content needs to be easier to follow. How would you decide what to arrange or animate?
Listen for attention to the slide’s purpose, object placement, and how the sequence supports the message.
You need to share a draft for review, respond to feedback, and then present it. How would you handle that work with others?
Listen for a practical approach to sharing, reviewing, and preparing the deck for presentation.

Fairness and accommodations
Each question describes the screen in words and gives positions and sizes as numbers, so no answer depends on seeing colors or recognizing a particular screen. Questions ask what a feature does and when to use it, never an exact menu path or keyboard shortcut. Features are those of the current web version in a desktop browser. Scenarios use everyday business content with no money symbols, idioms or local knowledge, and names from many backgrounds.
You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.
Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
