Process analysts, continuous improvement specialists, quality assurance specialists, operations managers and team leads who find inefficiencies and put better ways of working in place.

What this test can show

  1. See applied judgment

Short workplace scenarios show how candidates select an improvement approach, beyond what a resume says they have done.

  2. Check more than one skill

One 10-minute assessment covers improvement methods, root-cause analysis, process maps and stakeholder decisions.

  3. Focus follow-up

Use a candidate’s responses to choose which process problems or change decisions to explore in an interview.

  4. Keep the screen focused

The 15 multiple-choice questions offer a concise way to gather evidence before spending interview time.

Test integrity features

Each candidate gets a different set of questions drawn from large question pools. Questions appear in a different order for each attempt, and answer options are shuffled. The browser receives one question at a time, and answer keys stay on HireValid’s servers. Timing runs on the server. If a candidate reloads the page, the same question returns with only the time left. Candidates cannot copy or select question text; a blocked copy attempt is recorded in the timeline. Each invitation link is personal and expires, and a finished test cannot be taken again. HireValid summarizes signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers and answers faster than a question can be read in an Integrity Score and evidence timeline for the employer to review. It does not decide on its own. With candidate consent, an employer can add webcam photos at random moments.

Use the score as one signal

Treat the result as evidence for a person to review, never as the hiring decision. Pair it with a short work sample based on a process description or map, and ask the candidate to identify an improvement opportunity, trace a possible cause and explain how they would involve stakeholders. Then use the same structured interview questions for each candidate. For related hiring needs, see Six Sigma, Change Management and Project Management.

Vragen voor gestructureerde sollicitatiegesprekken

  1. A process is taking longer than expected. How would you investigate what is happening?

Listen for a clear approach to understanding the steps, finding where the delay occurs and tracing possible causes.

  2. How would you decide which improvement approach to try for a process problem?

Listen for reasoning tied to the problem and how the candidate would assess whether the approach helps.

  3. Tell me how you would use a process map to explain an inefficiency to a team.

Listen for a grounded explanation of the process steps and how the map can support discussion.

  4. How would you bring stakeholders along when a process change affects their work?

Listen for attention to affected people, clear communication and how the candidate would address concerns.

Fairness and accommodations

Scenarios come from many sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, offices and public services, so no single industry is favored. Costs are given in hours or units rather than money, units are metric, and names come from many backgrounds. Specialist terms are explained in plain words where a question uses them, and the numbers are light enough for scratch paper, which every candidate may use.

You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.

Not yet known: how consistent the scores are will be reported after 200 candidates have taken the test.
