Het korte antwoord
The Remote Team Management test is an intermediate situational judgment test for people who lead or coordinate remote and hybrid colleagues. In 10 minutes, candidates respond to 10 scenarios by choosing the action they think works best. Their answers show judgment about distance communication, teamwork, delivery, and team well-being, with partial credit for the second-best action.

What this test adds to a resume
Judgment in context
Short scenarios give candidates team facts, agreements, and constraints, so their choices show how they respond to the situation rather than simply describe past responsibilities.
A balanced view of delivery
Responses show how candidates weigh keeping work moving against wearing out a distributed team, a tradeoff a resume may not reveal.
Choices with partial credit
The second-best action earns partial credit, offering a more nuanced signal than treating every response as simply right or wrong.
What you get for each candidate

Scores, profiles and integrity signals are evidence for you to review alongside an interview, never an automatic decision.
Test integrity features
Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large pools, in a different order, with answer options shuffled. The browser receives one question at a time, and answer keys stay on HireValid’s servers. Timing runs on the server; if a candidate reloads, the same question returns with only the time left. Candidates cannot copy or select question text, and a blocked copy attempt is recorded in the timeline. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read. The employer reviews the Integrity Score and evidence timeline; neither decides on its own.

Use the score as one signal
Review the score alongside a work sample that reflects the role’s coordination demands and a structured interview. Ask each candidate the same job-related questions, then compare their reasoning with the test’s scenarios about time zones, team agreements, and delivery. The score is evidence for your review, not a pass mark or a hiring decision. For context, compare this test with Leadership and People Management and Business Judgment, or see the pre-employment testing guide.
Vragen voor gestructureerde sollicitatiegesprekken
Tell me about a time you had to keep a distributed team informed across time zones. How did you decide what to communicate and when?
Listen for a specific situation, the constraints they considered, and how they checked that team members had the information they needed.
Describe a time you had to address a loss of trust or cooperation among colleagues working in different places. What did you do?
Listen for actions that brought people into the conversation and helped the team work together, rather than unsupported claims about being a good leader.
Tell me about a time delivery was at risk and your team was under strain. How did you handle both concerns?
Listen for how they weighed the work, team agreements, and well-being, and what they learned from the outcome.

Fairness and accommodations
Every scenario states the facts, team agreements and constraints it turns on, so no particular company's practices or tools are needed, and tools are described in general terms rather than by brand. Team members have names from many backgrounds, genders and ages, locations are given as time zones rather than countries, and no scenario assumes anything about a person's home life, health or caregiving beyond what it states. The four actions in each scenario are alike in length and tone.
You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.
Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.

Each scenario offers four possible actions, and the candidate picks the one they think works best. It shows how a candidate keeps people informed, builds trust without a shared office, and keeps work moving while looking after the team, with partial credit for the second-best action.
