Questions before an assessment

Before you start

Read your employer’s invitation and check the deadline and estimated duration. Find a comfortable place with a reliable connection. A desktop or laptop is best for typing, spreadsheet and code tasks.

You should receive clear instructions, practice questions and information about permitted tools. Ask the employer if anything is unclear. This website’s sample test is optional practice and does not affect a job application.

What monitoring means

An employer may enable settings such as focus-event logging or optional camera checks where enabled. The welcome screen should explain the settings before you consent.

The website demos do not record camera images, keystroke dynamics or identity documents. In a real assessment, an integrity signal should prompt review, not an automatic rejection.

If you need an accommodation

Contact the hiring employer before starting. Explain the adjustment you need to demonstrate the relevant skill, such as extra time, an accessible format or an alternative to camera checks.

If your connection drops or something unexpected happens, note the approximate time and tell the employer. Do not assume an interruption makes your application invalid.

Your results and data

The hiring employer decides how assessment results are used and whether results are shared with you. HireValid processes employer assessment data on the employer’s instructions.

For access, correction or deletion requests, contact the employer and use the privacy topic on our contact form where needed. The Candidate Privacy Notice explains the employer and HireValid responsibilities.
