الإجابة المختصرة

The intermediate TensorFlow test checks working knowledge of TensorFlow 2 and its Keras API. Candidates answer multiple-choice questions based on short Python snippets and precise statements about tensors and gradients, data pipelines and training, convolutional networks, and complex architectures. It is designed for engineers and data professionals who build or maintain neural network models.

ما الذي يقيسه

Practical TensorFlow knowledge: tensors and gradients, data pipelines and training, convolutional networks, and more complex model architectures.

Core tensors and execution

Short Python snippets and precise statements cover tensor behavior, execution, and automatic differentiation.

Data pipelines and training

Questions address input pipelines and the steps involved in training models.

Convolutional networks

Candidates encounter questions about convolutional networks and how TensorFlow handles them.

Complex model architectures

Questions cover multi-part designs, including recurrent, residual, and multi-input networks.

Question formats

Multiple choice

The candidate: Reads a short situation, table or statement and picks the right answer, or every right answer.

You see: Whether the candidate knows the material well enough to apply it, not just recognize it.

15 questions in 10 minutes, served one at a time.

Roles this test fits

Machine learning engineers, deep learning engineers, AI engineers, data scientists and data analysts who build or maintain neural network models in TensorFlow.

Evidence beyond a resume

  1. Framework behavior, not name recall

Candidates respond to short code and precise statements about TensorFlow behavior, giving you evidence beyond a list of frameworks on a resume.

  2. A fairer version comparison

Code targets current TensorFlow 2 releases and avoids behavior that changed between versions, so recent-release differences do not shape the questions.

  3. Room for small calculations

Shape and parameter arithmetic uses small numbers, and candidates may use scratch paper while working through these model details.

How the test handles integrity signals

Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large pools. Questions appear one at a time, in a different order, and answer options are shuffled. The test takes 10 minutes, and candidates cannot go back to earlier questions. If a page reloads, the same question returns with only the remaining time. Question text cannot be copied or selected; a blocked copy attempt is recorded in the timeline. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read. An Integrity Score and evidence timeline are provided for employer review, not an automatic decision. With candidate consent, employers can add webcam photos at random moments.

Use the score as one signal

Review the score alongside a work sample using TensorFlow and a structured interview. For example, ask candidates to work through a model-related task, then discuss the choices they made around input pipelines, training, or model architecture. The test does not decide who to hire. For more context, see how we build our tests, the pre-employment testing guide, and the related Neural Networks test.

أسئلة المقابلة المنظّمة

  1. Tell me about a TensorFlow model you built or maintained. How did you handle its input data and training?

Listen for a clear account of the candidate's role, the pipeline and training decisions they made, and how they explained those choices.

  2. Describe a convolutional network you worked on and how you approached its design.

Look for a concrete example and a reasoned explanation of the candidate's decisions, rather than a recited definition of convolutional networks.

  3. Walk me through a model with multiple parts that you worked on. How did the parts fit together?

Listen for a specific example involving a recurrent, residual, or multi-input design, and how the candidate describes its structure and their contribution.

Fairness and accommodations

Questions use short code and plain technical English with no idioms. They test how the framework behaves rather than memorized names or the exact text of error messages. Code targets current TensorFlow 2 releases and avoids behavior that changed between versions, so candidates using any recent release are treated alike. Shape and parameter arithmetic uses small numbers, and every candidate may use scratch paper.

You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.

Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.

Test details

A ten-minute check of working knowledge of TensorFlow 2 and its Keras API. Candidates read short Python snippets and precise statements about how the framework behaves. The questions cover tensors and automatic differentiation, input pipelines and training, convolutional networks, and multi-part models such as recurrent, residual and multi-input networks.

  • Questions are in English.
  • Aids allowed: Scratch paper.
  • Each question is answered once, in order, with no going back.
  • 4 practice questions, 4 minutes, before the timed test.

الأسئلة الشائعة

Who is the TensorFlow test for?+

It is an intermediate test for machine learning engineers, deep learning engineers, AI engineers, data scientists, and data analysts who build or maintain neural network models in TensorFlow. Use it when that work is relevant to the role, rather than as a general-purpose programming screen.

Can candidates take the TensorFlow test on a phone?+

Yes. The test is not desktop only, so it can be taken on a phone or a computer. Code snippets are short, and the shape and parameter arithmetic uses small numbers that can be worked out on scratch paper.

Can candidates use aids or return to a question in the TensorFlow test?+

Candidates may use scratch paper. They cannot go back to an earlier question during the 10-minute test. A separate practice set has 4 questions and takes 4 minutes, so candidates can see the multiple-choice format before starting.

Should the TensorFlow test score decide who moves forward?+

No. Treat the score as evidence for a person to review, alongside a TensorFlow work sample and a structured interview. Follow up on relevant results by asking about the candidate's experience with training workflows, convolutional networks, or multi-part model architectures.
