Test integrity signals for employer review

Each candidate receives a different question set drawn from large pools. Questions appear in a different order on each attempt, and answer choices are shuffled. The browser gets one question at a time; answer keys stay on HireValid's servers. The 10-minute timer runs on the server. Reloading brings back the same question with only the time left, and candidates cannot go back to earlier questions. Question text cannot be copied or selected; blocked copy attempts are recorded in the timeline. Personal invitation links expire, and a finished test cannot be taken again. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read. The employer reviews an Integrity Score with an evidence timeline; it makes no decision on its own. With candidate consent, random webcam photos can be added.

Use the score as one signal

Review the result alongside a short work sample and a structured interview. Treat the score as evidence for a person to review, not as a decision or cut-off. Ask the candidate to work through a finance calculation relevant to the role and explain their approach. For related skills, explore Accounting Fundamentals and Accounts Payable. See the pre-employment testing guide for broader hiring context.

结构化面试问题

  1. How would you work through a break-even calculation when some of the figures are uncertain?

Listen for a clear explanation of how they use the figures, identify what is missing, and check the result.

  2. Tell me how you would compare two financing offers when each has different payment terms.

Listen for a step-by-step comparison using the provided figures and an explanation of the choice.

  3. How would you check a calculation involving payments that grow over time?

Listen for an organized approach to the series and how they verify their calculation.

Fairness and accommodations

Amounts are written as plain numbers with no currency symbols, and every rate, period and factor a question needs is stated in it, so no knowledge of a particular country's tax rules, banking products or customs is required. Where a question needs a power or a discount factor, the factor is given in a small table so the basic on-screen calculator is enough. Names and businesses come from many backgrounds, and the wording is plain US English at a level suited to finance roles.

You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.

Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
