What this test adds to your hiring process

  1. A view beyond the resume

See how a candidate judges specific management situations, including conflicts of interest and ethical decisions across business functions.

  2. Scenarios with stated rules

Each scenario states the rule or code-of-conduct clause it turns on, so candidates can respond to the facts on screen.

  3. A focused first step

Use the 10-minute test to bring evidence about workplace judgment into your hiring review before investing more interview time.

  4. Partial credit for close judgment

The second-best response earns partial credit, giving you more information to discuss than a simple right-or-wrong result.

Test conditions and integrity signals

Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large pools. Questions appear in a different order for each attempt, and answer options are shuffled. The browser receives one question at a time, and answer keys stay on HireValid’s servers. The test takes 10 minutes, and candidates cannot go back. Reloading restores the same question with only the remaining time. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read. An Integrity Score and evidence timeline are provided for employer review; neither decides on its own. With the candidate’s consent, an employer can add webcam photos at random moments.

Use the score as one part of your review

Treat the score as evidence for a person to review, not as a hiring decision. Discuss relevant responses alongside a work sample based on a management situation, such as an ethical purchasing choice or fair treatment of staff. Then use the same structured interview questions for each candidate and consider the evidence together. 结构化面试问题

  1. Tell me about a time you faced a conflict of interest at work. How did you decide what to do?

Listen for the relevant facts, how the candidate considered workplace responsibilities, and why they chose their response.

  2. Describe a work decision where you had to balance a business goal with fair treatment of staff. What did you consider?

Listen for practical consideration of the people affected and how the candidate made a fair, inclusive choice.

  3. Walk me through a decision in purchasing, sales, finance, or operations where a rule shaped your options.

Listen for how the candidate identified the applicable rule, weighed possible responses, and explained their judgment.

Fairness and accommodations

Every scenario states the rule or code-of-conduct clause it turns on, so no country's law, legal training or one company's policies are needed, and the responses are alike in length and tone. Names and roles come from many backgrounds, no person is drawn from a stereotype, and money amounts and currencies are left out.

You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.

Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
