A resume lists experience, while these short scenarios show how candidates choose responses to presentation challenges involving visuals, delivery, structure and changing plans.

  2. Focus follow-up interviews

Use the candidate's responses to guide questions about how they prepare and present to clients, managers or colleagues.

  3. Use a concise assessment

The test takes 10 minutes and contains 10 questions, giving you a focused signal to review alongside other hiring evidence.

  4. No company software knowledge needed

Each scenario states its audience, goal and constraints. No particular presentation software or company-specific habits are needed.

Test conditions and integrity signals

Each candidate gets a different set of questions from large pools. Questions appear in a different order for each attempt, and the answer options are shuffled. The browser shows one question at a time. Candidates have 10 minutes and cannot go back to earlier questions. Reloading returns the same question with only the remaining time. Question text cannot be copied or selected, and a blocked copy attempt is recorded. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers and answers faster than a question can be read. These are summarized in an Integrity Score and evidence timeline for employer review, not an automatic decision. See How we build our tests.

Treat the score as evidence to review

Use the score to decide what to explore next, not on its own. Pair it with a work sample, such as asking the candidate to prepare and give a short presentation, and a structured interview with the same job-related prompts for each candidate. Review the sample for clear visuals, a well-built message, engaging delivery and response to change. You can also compare what the test measures with Communication Essentials and Active Listening when selecting related evidence.

结构化面试问题

  1. Tell me about a presentation you adapted after something changed. What did you do?

Listen for a clear account of the change, the audience's needs and the presenter's choices.

  2. How would you decide what to include on a slide for a client presentation?

Listen for choices that support a clear visual and serve the talk's goal.

  3. Describe how you would keep colleagues engaged during a presentation of complex information.

Listen for a considered approach to delivery and audience engagement.

  4. How would you build a presentation's message for managers who need to make a decision?

Listen for a coherent structure and a message shaped around the stated audience.

Fairness and accommodations

Every scenario states the audience, the goal and the constraints it turns on, so no company's habits or particular presentation software is needed. Responses are alike in length and tone, nothing turns on one culture's customs for eye contact, gesture or formality, and presenters and audiences have names from many backgrounds.

You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.

Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
