What this test can show
Decisions in context
Scenarios set in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and home health agencies show how candidates approach the settings your role may involve.
Using care data
Questions ask candidates to read quality data and consider what action to take, rather than only describe quality of care.
Budget judgment
Round dollar figures appear only when a financial decision needs them. A calculator and scratch paper are allowed for every candidate.
Role-relevant content
Questions cover US payment programs and privacy rules where the role requires them, without idioms, sports, holidays, or regional knowledge.
What you get for each candidate
- Stayed on the test tab throughout
- No pasted answers
- Answered at a steady pace
Scores, profiles and integrity signals are evidence for you to review alongside an interview, never an automatic decision.
Test integrity features
Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large question pools. Question order and answer options are shuffled for each attempt. The browser shows one question at a time, and answer keys stay on HireValid’s servers. The 10-minute timer runs on the server; reloading restores the same question with only the time left. Candidates cannot go back. Question text cannot be copied or selected, and a blocked copy attempt is recorded in the timeline. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read. Employers review the Integrity Score and evidence timeline; neither makes a decision on its own. Personal invitation links expire, and a finished test cannot be taken again. With candidate consent, employers can add webcam photos at random moments. Read how we build our tests.
我们如何防范 AI 作弊 · Integrity signals
Use the score as one signal
Treat the score as evidence for review, not a decision. Pair it with a work sample, such as asking the candidate to explain a response to a fictional staffing or budget situation, then use a structured interview with consistent, job-related questions. Consider how their reasoning connects to quality data and stakeholder communication. For interview planning, see our pre-employment testing guide and candidate-friendly hiring guide.

A patient’s family and a physician disagree about a care-related issue. How would you approach the conversation?
Listen for clear, respectful communication with both parties and attention to the concern raised.

Fairness and accommodations
Questions test knowledge the role needs, including US payment programs and privacy rules, and nothing beyond it: no idioms, sports, holidays or regional knowledge. Patients, residents and staff have names from many backgrounds, ages and genders, with no stereotypes about roles or conditions. Dollar figures are round and appear only where a financial decision needs them, every question is short plain English at a professional reading level, and a calculator and scratch paper are allowed for every candidate.
You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.
Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
