简短回答
The telehealth test is an intermediate, timed assessment for clinicians who work by phone or video. Its short clinical scenarios measure phone triage judgment, review of home monitoring data, remote support for long-term conditions, and clear patient education. It is designed for triage nurses, nurse practitioners, virtual-care physicians, remote monitoring nurses, and allied health staff in telehealth services.
测量内容
Judgment in phone triage, review of home monitoring data, remote support for long-term conditions, and clear patient education over phone and video.
Telephone triage
Scenarios ask candidates to judge how urgent a caller's symptoms are.
Remote monitoring and data review
Candidates review readings from home devices and identify trends that need action.
Remote chronic condition management
Questions explore how to support people living with long-term conditions from a distance.
Patient education and virtual communication
Candidates choose clear explanations for care in phone and video consultations.
Question formats
Multiple choice
The candidate: Reads a short situation, table or statement and picks the right answer, or every right answer.
You see: Whether the candidate knows the material well enough to apply it, not just recognize it.
15 questions in 10 minutes, served one at a time.
Roles this test fits
Clinicians who work by phone or video: triage nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians in virtual care, remote monitoring nurses, and allied health staff in telehealth services.
What the telehealth test can show
Scenario-based evidence
See how candidates respond to short phone and video care situations, beyond what a resume describes.
A focused view of remote care
Review evidence across triage, home-device readings, chronic care support, and patient education in one assessment.
A starting point for the interview
Results across the four areas show where to probe, for example how a candidate would act on a home glucose trend or a caller's worsening symptoms.
What you get for each candidate
- Stayed on the test tab throughout
- No pasted answers
- Answered at a steady pace
Scores, profiles and integrity signals are evidence for you to review alongside an interview, never an automatic decision.
Test controls and review signals
Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large question pools. Questions appear in a different order for each attempt, with shuffled answer options, and the browser shows one question at a time. The 10-minute timer runs on the server. Reloading returns the same question with only the time left, and candidates cannot go back. Question text cannot be copied or selected; a blocked copy attempt is recorded in the timeline. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read. The employer reviews an Integrity Score and evidence timeline; neither makes a decision on its own. See how we build our tests for more on the assessment approach.

Use the score as evidence
Review the score alongside a job-relevant work sample and a structured interview, never on its own. Discuss how the candidate approaches a triage call, interprets home monitoring trends, or explains care remotely. The test is one input for a person to review, not a decision rule. For other healthcare-related options, see the HIPAA test, Medical Billing test, and Pharmacy Technician test.
结构化面试问题
A caller describes symptoms that may need prompt attention. What would you ask next, and how would you decide what to do?
Listen for a clear triage approach and attention to the information needed to judge urgency.
A home monitoring reading changes from the pattern you expected. How would you review it and decide on a next step?
Listen for careful consideration of the trend and the relevant care plan or service protocol.
How would you explain a care plan by video to a patient who seems unsure about what to do at home?
Listen for clear, patient-focused communication and a way to check that the explanation was understood.

Fairness and accommodations
Scenarios rest on widely shared clinical practice rather than one country's laws, protocols or payment rules. Any threshold the answer depends on is given in the question as the care plan or service protocol, so no local rule has to be known. Measurements are metric, blood glucose is shown in both mmol/L and mg/dL, medicines are named by generic name only, patients come from many backgrounds and ages, and no question depends on idiom or culture-specific knowledge.
You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.
Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
Test details
A timed set of short clinical scenarios set in phone and video consultations and in readings sent from home devices. Candidates decide how urgent a caller's symptoms are, read monitoring data for trends that need action, support people living with long-term conditions from a distance, and choose how to explain care so patients understand it.
- Questions are in English.
- Aids allowed: Scratch paper.
- Each question is answered once, in order, with no going back.
- 4 practice questions, 4 minutes, before the timed test.
常见问题
Who is the telehealth test designed for?+
It is for intermediate-level clinicians who work by phone or video, including triage nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians in virtual care, remote monitoring nurses, and allied health staff in telehealth services.
Does the telehealth test depend on local protocols?+
The scenarios are based on widely shared clinical practice rather than one country's laws, protocols, or payment rules. If a decision depends on a threshold, the question gives the relevant care plan or service protocol. Measurements are metric, and blood glucose appears in both mmol/L and mg/dL.
How long is the telehealth test, and can candidates use notes?+
The test has 15 multiple-choice questions and takes 10 minutes. Candidates may use scratch paper. They cannot go back to an earlier question. A separate practice set has 4 questions and takes 4 minutes.
How should I read a telehealth test result?+
Look at the four areas separately. A candidate who judges caller urgency well but misses trends in home device readings needs a different follow-up from one with the reverse pattern. Reliability is provisional until 200 candidates have completed the test, so review the result with a work sample and a structured interview.
