Kısa yanıt
The Flutter assessment is a 10-minute, 20-question multiple-choice test of practical Flutter and Dart knowledge. Candidates interpret short Dart snippets and app situations covering widgets, layouts, packages, state management, and app structure. Use it when hiring mid-level mobile and cross-platform app developers, front-end developers moving to Flutter, or full-stack developers maintaining Flutter apps.
Ölçtüğü şey

Widgets and lifecycle
Candidates consider how to build with widgets and how widget lifecycle behavior affects an app.
Layout and framework features
Questions cover choosing layouts and framework features for an app screen.

Candidates consider how packages and libraries fit an app-building situation.
State management and architecture
Questions explore managing state and choosing an approach to app structure.
Question formats
Multiple choice
The candidate: Reads a short situation, table or statement and picks the right answer, or every right answer.
You see: Whether the candidate knows the material well enough to apply it, not just recognize it.
20 questions in 10 minutes, served one at a time.
Roles this test fits
Mobile and cross-platform app developers, front-end developers moving to Flutter, and full-stack developers who maintain Flutter apps, at a mid level.
What the Flutter assessment adds
Evidence beyond a resume
See how candidates interpret Dart snippets and reason about widgets, layouts, packages, and state management.
A focused screen
The 10-minute test provides a defined set of Flutter questions before you invest time in later hiring steps.
Relevant situations
Short app scenarios, including task lists, bookings, inventories, and settings screens, keep the questions connected to app building.
What you get for each candidate
- Stayed on the test tab throughout
- No pasted answers
- Answered at a steady pace
Scores, profiles and integrity signals are evidence for you to review alongside an interview, never an automatic decision.
How the test handles answer sharing
Each candidate receives a different question set, with questions and answer options shuffled. The browser shows one question at a time, and answer keys stay on HireValid’s servers. Timing runs on the server; reloading restores the same question with only the remaining time, and candidates cannot go back. Question text cannot be copied or selected, and blocked copy attempts are recorded. Personal invitation links expire, and a finished test cannot be taken again. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes, and answers faster than a question can be read. An Integrity Score and evidence timeline are provided for employer review; they do not decide on their own. With candidate consent, webcam photos can be added at random moments. Read how we build our tests.
Yapay zekâyla kopya çekmeyi nasıl önlüyoruz · Integrity signals
Use the score as one signal
Review the score as evidence, not as a hiring decision. Pair it with a job-relevant work sample and a structured interview about the candidate’s approach to Flutter work. Consider the candidate’s reasoning alongside the specific needs of the role. For guidance, see our pre-employment testing guide, browse the test library, or compare related skills with the Angular test.
Yapılandırılmış mülakat soruları
Tell me about a Flutter screen you worked on that did not behave as expected. How did you investigate and change it?
Listen for a clear account of the screen behavior, the candidate’s investigation, and the reasoning behind the change.
How would you approach choosing a layout and framework features for a new settings screen?
Listen for how they connect the app situation to layout choices and explain tradeoffs in their approach.
Describe a Flutter app where you needed to manage state across more than one part of the screen. How did you structure it?
Listen for a concrete account of state management and app structure, not only the names of tools.
Understand scoring and benchmarks
Fairness and accommodations
Questions use neutral app situations such as task lists, bookings, inventories and settings screens, with no money symbols, idioms, sports or local knowledge. Code uses plain English identifiers, names in sample data come from many backgrounds, and the stems are kept short and plain so the test measures Flutter skill rather than reading speed. No question depends on a particular device brand or operating system.
You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.
Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
Test details
A timed multiple-choice test of everyday app building with Flutter and Dart. Candidates read short Dart snippets and app situations and decide what the code does, why a screen misbehaves, or which approach fits, across widgets, layout, packages and state management. Each question has its own 30-second timer, and the whole test takes 10 minutes.
- Questions are in English.
- No aids are needed.
- Each question is answered once, in order, with no going back.
