Kısa yanıt

The Machine Learning in Azure test is a 10-minute hiring assessment with 15 multiple-choice questions. Project situations, short Python and YAML snippets, and configuration choices show how candidates approach Azure Machine Learning setup, model training, deployment, and lifecycle controls. It is designed for intermediate machine learning engineers, data scientists, AI developers, and related technical roles.

Ölçtüğü şey

Practical judgment in setting up, training, deploying and running machine learning solutions with Azure Machine Learning.

Workspace, compute and data setup

Candidates pick the compute and data access a project needs inside an Azure Machine Learning workspace, sometimes from a short Python or YAML snippet.

Training, tuning and evaluating models

Questions ask what to change when a model falls short and how to judge whether a trained model is ready to use.

Deploying models and serving predictions

Scenarios take a trained model to a live endpoint and ask what to set up or what will happen when predictions are requested.

Automating, tracking and controlling the model lifecycle

Candidates choose the controls that keep models reliable over time, such as repeatable runs and experiment tracking with MLflow.

Question formats

Multiple choice

The candidate: Reads a short situation, table or statement and picks the right answer, or every right answer.

You see: Whether the candidate knows the material well enough to apply it, not just recognize it.

15 questions in 10 minutes, served one at a time.

Roles this test fits

Machine learning engineers, data scientists, AI developers, ML platform and operations engineers, cloud solution architects, data engineers, and developers who work with machine learning on Azure at an intermediate level.

What this test can show

  1. Predicting what a setup will do

Questions ask what will happen under a given configuration, so a candidate has to reason about how Azure Machine Learning behaves rather than name its features.

  2. Code and configuration reasoning

Short Python and YAML snippets let you review how candidates interpret implementation details alongside configuration choices.

  3. Current, accessible scenarios

Questions follow the current Python SDK and command-line tooling, not retired versions, and never turn on prices, region lists or portal menu paths.

How the assessment is administered

Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large question pools. Questions appear one at a time, with their order and answer options shuffled. The 10-minute timer runs on the server; if a candidate reloads the page, the same question returns with only the time left. Candidates cannot go back to earlier questions. Question text cannot be copied or selected, and a blocked copy attempt is recorded in the timeline. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers given faster than a question can be read. These signals appear in an Integrity Score and evidence timeline for the employer to review. The system does not decide on its own. With candidate consent, employers can add webcam photos at random moments.

Use the score as one piece of evidence

Review the result alongside a work sample and a structured interview. Ask candidates to explain choices about workspace setup, model evaluation, or serving predictions, then compare their reasoning with the role's needs. The score is evidence for a person to review, not a hiring decision by itself. If the job also includes adjacent work, consider Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Artificial Intelligence as separate evidence.

Yapılandırılmış mülakat soruları

  1. How would you choose a workspace, compute, and data setup for a machine learning project?

Listen for clear setup choices tied to the project situation.

  2. Tell me how you would respond if a model's evaluation results did not meet the project need.

Listen for a considered approach to training, tuning, and evaluating the model.

  3. How would you move a trained model into a service that returns predictions?

Listen for practical decisions about deployment and serving.

Fairness and accommodations

Questions are written in plain US English at a professional reading level, with short code snippets and no idioms, local knowledge or money. Scenarios come from many industries, and people in them have names from many backgrounds. Questions reflect the current Python SDK and command-line tooling rather than retired versions, and no question turns on memorizing prices, region lists or menu paths in the portal.

You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.

Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.

Test details

A short, timed check of how well a candidate builds and runs machine learning work on Microsoft Azure. Questions present realistic project situations, short Python and YAML snippets and configuration choices, and ask what to set up, what to change or what will happen. It covers the path from a workspace and its compute to trained models, live endpoints and the controls that keep models reliable over time.

  • Questions are in English.
  • No aids are needed.
  • Each question is answered once, in order, with no going back.
  • 4 practice questions, 3 minutes, before the timed test.

Sık sorulan sorular

Which candidates should take the Machine Learning in Azure test?+

It is intended for intermediate-level machine learning engineers, data scientists, AI developers, ML platform and operations engineers, cloud solution architects, data engineers, and developers who work with machine learning on Azure.

How does the Machine Learning in Azure test handle fairness?+

Questions use plain US English at a professional reading level, with short code snippets and no idioms, local knowledge, or money. Scenarios span industries and names come from many backgrounds.

Can candidates use aids during the Machine Learning in Azure test?+

No aids are allowed, and candidates cannot go back to an earlier question. Code in the questions is limited to short Python and YAML snippets that candidates read and judge on the screen, so nothing depends on their own tools or Azure subscription.

What practice is available for the Machine Learning in Azure test?+

Candidates can try a practice set of 4 questions with a 3-minute limit, ahead of the 15 timed questions. It lets them get used to the single-answer and select-all formats first.
