Roles this test fits

Customer success managers, account managers focused on retention, customer advocates, onboarding and adoption specialists, and customer success team leads at subscription software companies.

What the assessment adds to a resume

  1. See judgment in account scenarios

A resume describes experience; this test gives you evidence of how candidates assess an account's place in the customer lifecycle.

  2. Review data interpretation

Small usage and renewal tables show how candidates read account and retention data, so you can focus follow-up on their reasoning.

  3. Explore customer problem handling

Scenario responses give you a starting point for discussing how candidates would resolve an issue and explain difficult news.

Test integrity signals for employer review

Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large pools. The question order changes by attempt, and answer options are shuffled. The browser shows one question at a time; the 10-minute timer runs on the server, and candidates cannot go back. Reloading restores the same question with only the remaining time. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read. An Integrity Score and evidence timeline summarize those signals for employer review; the score never decides on its own. With candidate consent, an employer can add webcam photos at random moments.

Use the score as evidence, not a verdict

Review the score alongside a work sample and a structured interview, not on its own. Use it to choose follow-up questions about account lifecycle decisions, usage and renewal data, or customer problems. For related evidence, compare it with Customer Service Skills or Customer Service Situational Judgement. See our pre-employment testing guide for more on using assessments in hiring.

Yapılandırılmış mülakat soruları

  1. An account's usage has fallen as renewal approaches. How would you assess its situation and decide what to address first?

Listen for a clear reading of the account details, questions about the customer context, and a reasoned next step.

  2. Tell me about a customer problem you handled. How did you explain your decision, and what happened next?

Listen for the candidate's own actions, clear communication, and how they considered the customer's needs.

  3. A customer is onboarding but has not adopted the product as expected. How would you decide what to do next?

Listen for attention to the account's stage, relevant evidence, and a practical way to respond.

Fairness and accommodations

Scenarios use fictional companies and products and names from many backgrounds, with no real brands, idioms, sports or holidays. Any metric whose definition varies between companies is defined in the question itself, and contract amounts appear as plain numbers with no currency symbol. Numbers are kept round enough to work on scratch paper, and the reading level is that of everyday business email.

You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.

Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it. Until then, use the score alongside an interview rather than on its own.
