Multiple choice

The candidate: Reads a short situation, table or statement and picks the right answer, or every right answer.

You see: Whether the candidate knows the material well enough to apply it, not just recognize it.

15 questions in 10 minutes, served one at a time.

Roles this test fits

Roles that use AI assistants for drafting, research or analysis: analysts, product managers, researchers, content strategists, marketers, and operations and administrative staff.

What this test can show

  1. Judgment beyond tool familiarity

Scenarios ask candidates to decide what an assistant can handle and what they should keep under their own review, without assuming a particular product.

  2. Source-checking in context

Candidates assess a draft against the source shown in the question, giving you evidence of how they approach AI-written material.

  3. Policy-aware choices

Questions state the company policy in the scenario and ask about data protection, so answers do not depend on local law or a named tool.

Test integrity and review

Each candidate gets a different question set drawn from large pools, with question order and answer options shuffled. The browser receives one question at a time, and answer keys stay on HireValid’s servers. Timing runs on the server; reloading restores the same question with only the time left. Candidates cannot return to a previous question. Question text cannot be copied or selected, and a blocked copy attempt is recorded in the timeline. HireValid can summarize signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read in an Integrity Score with an evidence timeline. The employer reviews those signals; they do not decide on their own.

Use the score as one signal

Review the score alongside a work sample and a structured interview, not as a standalone decision or cutoff. A work sample can show how a candidate checks an AI draft against its source or improves an instruction for a real task. For roles such as Office Administrator and Marketing Coordinator, consider whether Google Docs is also relevant to the work. Use the evidence to guide follow-up, not to replace your review.

Yapılandırılmış mülakat soruları

  1. An assistant drafts a summary from a source. How would you check it before sharing?

Listen for a plan to compare claims with the source and address anything that is unsupported or unclear.

  2. Think of a report you prepared recently. Which parts would you hand to an AI assistant, and which would you do yourself?

Listen for a considered split between tasks, with human review where accuracy, judgment or confidential data is involved.

  3. An initial response misses the task’s audience and purpose. How would you improve your instruction?

Listen for concrete changes to the instruction and a way to assess whether the next response fits.

Fairness and accommodations

Questions describe AI assistants in general terms, with no product names or features of any one tool, so candidates who have used different tools start even. Scenarios use everyday workplace tasks, plain US English, names from many backgrounds, and no money symbols, idioms or local knowledge. Questions about rules state the company policy in the question, so no answer depends on the law of a particular country.

You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.

Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
