Jawaban singkat
The Advanced Networking in Azure test is a 10-minute hiring assessment of how well candidates plan, protect, troubleshoot and connect networks in Microsoft Azure. It uses realistic configurations, route tables, rule lists and command output. It is designed for network architects, cloud solution architects, network security engineers, DevOps and platform engineers, and network operations staff.
Hal yang diukur
How well a candidate plans, protects, troubleshoots and connects networks in Microsoft Azure.
Network architecture and design
Candidates assess network designs and decide which configuration fits stated needs.
Network security and compliance
Questions cover traffic filtering, network rules and policy.
Network operations and troubleshooting
Candidates interpret configurations and command output to diagnose why traffic fails.
Hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity
Scenarios assess connections between Azure, on-premises sites and other clouds.
Question formats
Multiple choice
The candidate: Reads a short situation, table or statement and picks the right answer, or every right answer.
You see: Whether the candidate knows the material well enough to apply it, not just recognize it.
15 questions in 10 minutes, served one at a time.
Roles this test fits
Network architects, cloud solution architects, network security engineers, DevOps and platform engineers, and network operations staff who build or run networks in Azure.
Evidence for your hiring conversation
Look beyond the resume
See candidates reason through route tables, rule lists and command output, not just describe their experience.
Design versus troubleshooting
Sub-skill results show whether a candidate is stronger at choosing an Azure design that fits stated needs or at working out why traffic fails.
Focus interview time
Use the results to choose which Azure networking scenarios to explore in a structured interview.
What you get for each candidate
- Stayed on the test tab throughout
- No pasted answers
- Answered at a steady pace
Scores, profiles and integrity signals are evidence for you to review alongside an interview, never an automatic decision.
How the test is delivered
Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large pools. Question order changes for each attempt, and answer options are shuffled. The browser shows one question at a time, and answer keys stay on HireValid’s servers. Timing runs on the server; reloading brings back the same question with only the remaining time. Candidates cannot copy or select question text, and a blocked copy attempt is recorded. Each personal invitation link expires, and a finished test cannot be taken again. HireValid summarizes signals such as time away from the test tab and pastes into answers in an Integrity Score with an evidence timeline for the employer to review. It does not decide on its own. With candidate consent, an employer can add webcam photos at random moments.

Use the score as one signal
Review the score alongside a work sample and a structured interview, never alone. For example, ask the candidate to work through a route table or rule list, then discuss their reasoning. The result is evidence for a person to review, not a hiring decision. There are no norms yet; reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed the test. For related context, see the Microsoft Azure test, DevOps test and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) test.
Pertanyaan wawancara terstruktur
A route table sends traffic somewhere unexpected. How would you investigate the path and decide what to change?
Listen for a step-by-step explanation using the route information and the stated traffic needs.
A network rule list is blocking traffic that a team needs. How would you identify the cause and evaluate a change?
Listen for careful reasoning about traffic filtering, policy and the impact of a proposed change.
A connection between Azure and an on-premises site is failing. What would you check first, and why?
Listen for a troubleshooting approach that considers the connection and evidence available in the scenario.

Fairness and accommodations
Questions use made-up companies and sites, private address ranges and plain technical English, with no idioms, sports, currency or local knowledge. Each question tests settled, generally available behavior rather than preview features, pricing or limits that change often. Scenarios vary team members' names and backgrounds, and every candidate may use scratch paper for address math.
You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.
Provisional: there are no norms yet, and reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed the test.
Test details
A short, timed test of hands-on judgment in Azure networking. Candidates read realistic configurations, route tables, rule lists and command output, then decide how traffic will flow, why it fails, or which design fits the stated needs. It covers network design, traffic filtering and policy, day-to-day troubleshooting, and links to on-premises sites and other clouds.
- Questions are in English.
- Aids allowed: Scratch paper.
- Each question is answered once, in order, with no going back.
- 4 practice questions, 4 minutes, before the timed test.
