Roles this test fits
Social media managers and coordinators, community managers, social content and strategy roles, and brand or marketing roles that run social channels day to day.
A focused view of day-to-day social work
See choices, not just listed duties
A resume can describe social media work. This test asks candidates to plan against goals, respond to followers, and make choices in short workplace scenarios.
Review four relevant areas
One 10-minute assessment covers planning, community management, post writing, and performance analysis for roles that run social channels day to day.
Use platform-neutral scenarios
Invented brands and generic channel descriptions focus on working practice across platforms, rather than familiarity with one network's current features.
Keep follow-up focused
Use the results to choose what to explore in a work sample or interview, such as how a candidate handled a complaint or read a results table.
What you get for each candidate
- Stayed on the test tab throughout
- No pasted answers
- Answered at a steady pace
Scores, profiles and integrity signals are evidence for you to review alongside an interview, never an automatic decision.
Assessment integrity signals for review
Each candidate receives a different set of questions, and questions and answer options are shuffled. The browser receives one question at a time, and answer keys stay on HireValid's servers. The 10-minute timer runs on the server; reloading restores the same question with only the time that was left. Candidates cannot go back to earlier questions. Question text cannot be copied or selected, and a blocked copy attempt is recorded. HireValid records signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read. Employers can review these signals in an Integrity Score and evidence timeline; the score does not decide on its own. With candidate consent, the employer can add webcam photos at random moments.

Use the score as evidence, not a verdict
Review the score alongside the candidate's resume, a work sample, and a structured interview. Look at the evidence for campaign planning, responses to follower comments or complaints, post wording, and decisions based on results tables. Do not use the score alone to make a hiring decision. For related hiring needs, see Marketing Coordinator, Market Research, and Email Marketing.
Pertanyaan wawancara terstruktur
Tell me how you would plan social content for a campaign with a specific goal. What would you decide first, and why?
Listen for how the candidate connects the stated goal to content choices and explains their planning.
A follower leaves a complaint on a brand's social channel. How would you decide what to say and what to do next?
Listen for a considered response to the complaint and a clear next step for managing the community.
You are given a results table for recent posts. How would you use it to decide what to change in the next round of content?
Listen for how the candidate reads the results and links them to a practical decision.
Understand scoring and benchmarks
Fairness and accommodations
Scenarios use invented brands and generic channel descriptions (a short-video app, a professional network, a photo-sharing app) instead of real platform names, so no candidate is favored by experience with one network. Questions avoid slang, idioms, sports, holidays and money symbols, use names from many backgrounds, and keep the reading level plain. Numbers are chosen to be worked quickly, and a calculator and scratch paper are allowed for everyone.
You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.
Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
