Kısa yanıt
The blockchain software development test is a 10-minute, 15-question check for intermediate developers. It measures blockchain fundamentals, architecture and scaling, Solidity smart contract code reading, and standards, signing, and tooling. Use it to gather an early signal from blockchain developers, smart contract engineers, back-end developers moving into decentralized applications, or architects designing on-chain systems.
Ölçtüğü şey
Blockchain fundamentals, system architecture, smart contract code reading and common standards, under time pressure.
Blockchain fundamentals
Questions cover how chains reach agreement and keep data tamper-evident.
Architecture and scaling
Questions explore how on-chain systems are designed and scaled.
Smart contract code
Questions ask candidates to read and debug Solidity smart contracts for Ethereum-compatible chains.
Standards, signing and tooling
Questions cover the interface, signing, and tooling standards used in blockchain projects.
Question formats
Multiple choice
The candidate: Reads a short situation, table or statement and picks the right answer, or every right answer.
You see: Whether the candidate knows the material well enough to apply it, not just recognize it.
15 questions in 10 minutes, served one at a time.
Roles this test fits
Blockchain developers, smart contract engineers, back-end developers moving into decentralized applications, and architects designing on-chain systems.
A focused signal for blockchain hiring
See contract-reading skill directly
Candidates read and debug short Solidity snippets for Ethereum-compatible chains, something a list of past projects on a resume cannot show.
Engineering, never trading
Every question is about building systems: how chains reach agreement, how they scale and which signing standards apply. None covers tokens, prices or investment, so market knowledge earns nothing.
Aim the technical interview
The four sub-skill scores show whether follow-up time is better spent on architecture and scaling or on interface, signing and tooling standards.
What you get for each candidate
- Stayed on the test tab throughout
- No pasted answers
- Answered at a steady pace
Scores, profiles and integrity signals are evidence for you to review alongside an interview, never an automatic decision.
Test controls and review signals
Each candidate receives a different set of questions from large pools. Question order changes between attempts, and answer options are shuffled. The browser shows one question at a time, while answer keys stay on HireValid's servers. Timing runs on the server; reloading restores the same question with only the remaining time. Candidates cannot copy or select question text, and a blocked copy attempt is recorded. This 10-minute test does not allow candidates to go back. HireValid summarizes signals such as time away from the test tab, pastes into answers, and answers faster than a question can be read in an Integrity Score and evidence timeline. Review those signals yourself; they do not decide on their own.

Use the score as evidence
Treat the result as one signal for a person to review, not a verdict. Pair it with a work sample that reflects the role and a structured interview about the candidate's reasoning. For broader context, compare it with the Software Engineer or Software Architect test. If the role includes general development work, the Object Oriented Programming test may also provide relevant context. Consider the candidate's experience and the work sample before deciding what the score means for your hiring process.
Yapılandırılmış mülakat soruları
How would you investigate a smart contract that behaves differently from what you expected?
Listen for a clear debugging approach, how they would inspect the code, and how they would verify what is happening.
Tell me about a design choice you would revisit when an on-chain system needs to scale.
Listen for how they assess constraints, explain tradeoffs, and connect a proposed change to the system's design.
How have you used signing or tooling standards while building a blockchain project?
Listen for a concrete account of their role, the standards or tools involved, and how they handled the work.
Understand scoring and benchmarks
Fairness and accommodations
Questions are about engineering, never about tokens, coins, prices, trading or investment, and they use no currency symbols, idioms or regional knowledge. Code is short, uses neutral names, and keeps lines narrow so it reads on any screen. Scenarios use names from many backgrounds, and the wording is plain so the test measures technical skill rather than reading speed in English.
You can give any candidate extra time as an accommodation. Results are evidence for a person to review, never an automatic decision.
Provisional: reliability is reported once 200 candidates have completed it.
Test details
A ten-minute check of working knowledge for developers who build on blockchains. It covers how chains reach agreement and keep data tamper-evident, how on-chain systems are designed and scaled, reading and debugging Solidity smart contracts for Ethereum-compatible chains, and the interface, signing and tooling standards that real projects rely on.
- Questions are in English.
- Aids allowed: Scratch paper.
- Each question is answered once, in order, with no going back.
- 4 practice questions, 4 minutes, before the timed test.

Sık sorulan sorular
Who should take the blockchain software development test?+
It is designed for intermediate blockchain developers, smart contract engineers, back-end developers moving into decentralized applications, and architects designing on-chain systems. Match the test to the actual work and level of the role, then review the score alongside other hiring evidence.
What does the blockchain software development test measure?+
It checks how candidates reason about chain agreement and tamper-evident data, on-chain architecture and scaling, reading and debugging Solidity contracts for Ethereum-compatible chains, and standards for interfaces, signing, and tooling.
Can candidates use aids during the blockchain software development test?+
Scratch paper is allowed. Questions are about engineering, not tokens, prices, trading, or investment. Code uses neutral names and narrow lines, and plain wording helps keep the focus on technical skill rather than regional knowledge or reading speed in English.
What practice is available for the blockchain software development test?+
Candidates can try a practice set of 4 questions in 4 minutes. The test itself has 15 single-choice and multi-select questions and lasts 10 minutes. It can be taken on desktop or mobile, and candidates cannot return to earlier questions.
